Nils researches competitive digital innovation and how organizations are redesigning themselves to realize greater impact from a diverse portfolio of innovation efforts. In 2010, he co-founded with CIONET the annual European CIO of the Year Awards to raise awareness of especially-accomplished digital leaders.
Based in Madrid, Nils is responsible for both fostering relations with organizations from Europe and Latin America and conducting research on how firms maximize business value and minimize risks from digital.

As Aion Bank’s CIO, Tomasz Motyl is responsible for the delivery of the company’s technology and information across all its touchpoints. He played an integral part in transforming the legacy of Banca Monte Paschi Belgio into the digital, mobile-first bank Aion is today. Prior to Aion Bank, Tomasz was Head of Development at Vodeno, a new cloud banking platform.
Tomasz also spent more than 10 years at Alior Bank, most recently as CIO, where he was responsible for the Bank’s Innovation LAB, a dedicated R&D path for new projects, cooperation with start-ups and fintech companies and new business opportunities. In addition to his responsibilities at Alior Bank, Tomasz served as Deputy Director for the sub brand “T-Mobile Banking Service, delivered by Alior Bank” to supervise delivery of the dedicated IT financial platform for the mobile operator.
Tomasz held senior technology roles at Bank BPH and Bank Przemysłowo-Handlowy (the predecessor of Bank BPH). As Deputy Director at Bank BPH, Tomasz supervised the IT Department’s development work on its central core banking system, transactional systems, middleware integration platform and groupware systems. He also supervised and implemented various IT projects, including architecture, new application ideas and banking process enhancements.

Dr Sven Egyedy has been Chief Information Officer at the Federal Foreign Office since March 2021 in addition to his role as Chief Technology Officer and Head of the ‚Auslands-IT‘, a federal IT service provider (since 2017). Apart from previous positions at different federal authorities, he served as commercial coordinator responsible for the construction contracts of nuclear fusion reactor ITER at the European Joint Undertaking Fusion for Energy F4E.
Sven has wide experience in successful technical, legal and commercial implementation of strategic highly complex – partly pioneering – (inter) national projects within the agreed time, cost and quality framework.
Sven holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences and is chairman of NExT, a registered non-profit organisation aiming to shape digital transformation within the civil service. He is married and father of three children.
Kristin Lindmark is the CIO of SPP, one of Sweden’s leading occupational pension providers. SPP is part of the Norwegian Storebrand Group, named The World’s Most Sustainable Insurance Company 2020 by Corporate Knights and currently managing around 90 billion Euro of customers’ capital. As a tech passionate and digital change-maker, Kristin thrives in the high-stake, high complexity environment that the Nordic Insurance market provides
Kristin holds a board member position at B3 Consulting Group, an entrepreneurial consultancy company in IT and Management with more than 650 employees. B3’s shares have been listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm exchange since December 2016. Kristin also holds a board member position at Storebrand Asset Management.
Kristin has a Master of Science and Engineering in Information Technology and 20 years’ experience of technology focus in the financial sector both from a consultancy and line organization perspective.

As one of KfW’s executive Board Members, Melanie Kehr is responsible for Information Technology, Transaction Management as well as Central Services. In this role she is setting the digital agenda not only focusing on new technologies, but also driving cultural change towards an agile promotional bank. This agile transformation finds its origin within IT change projects, spreading into all areas of KfW as a next step.
Before joining KfW Bankengruppe, Melanie had been Chief Information Officer (CIO) of BayernLB since 2014. Earlier, Melanie spent over 15 years with Accenture within the financial markets industry, the last years as partner.
Melanie holds a Master’s degree of Science in Economics, Purdue University, and an MBA, University of Bielefeld.
Born in 1969, Marco Moretti began his career after graduating in 1993 in Andersen Consulting (now Accenture): 13 years of experiences in the energy industry, both in process reengineering and system integration, managing different projects in the top national & international energy operators and in the different energy value chains:
In 2007 he changed from consulting and he joined, as IT Head, Energie Investimenti (a dual fuel sales JV between Gaz De France and CAMFIN SpA) managing the integration and startup of Italcogim Energie, now third Italian gas operator with 5b m3 of gas sold, more than 1,000 B2B customers and more than 1,000,000 B2C customers achieved with a rhythm of 2,000 customer per day.
In 2010 he was promoted as CIO in GDF SUEZ Energia Italia & South Europe (today ENGIE), that consolidated the GDF SUEZ Italian activities of the group in electricity (6 GW installed capacity, 20 TWh produced in 7 power stations, gas and wind) in dual fuel sales and infrastructures (14,000 km of gas distribution network over 470 city areas recently sold, gas storage and GNL projects.
In 2015 he became Group CIO of A2A, the multiutility organisation that in 2013 accounted a turnover of 5,6 b€, quoted in Italian trade, second operator in Italy in electricity with more than 10 GW installed and with 2,5 million of waste managed of which over 50% is used to produce electricity, one of the key players in public heating with 2.382 GWht sold to customers and in natural gas with over 2 billion cubic meters distributed.
In 2016 he founded A2A Smart City, the NewCo that designs and realizes digital sustainable cities and smart cities (www.a2a smart city.it) based on new emerging innovative technologies, that today has >140 human resources, reached 10M€ of EBITDA and recently started the roadmap to reach the Benefits-Corporation certification (SDG sustainability trademark). Today as A2A Group CIO he is also accounted to drive the Digital Innovation Transformation Roadmap.
Driven by passion of economics and finance, Filipe started his career working on IT projects at major international banking groups such as Santander Group, where he on IT projects for the Risk area until 2011 in both Lisbon and Madrid. In 2012 he joined the Italian technology firm Reply in London, heading up various digital transformation projects for groups such as Deutschbank, BNP Paribas and UniCredit, gaining further international experience in the UK, France, Germany, Italy and the Benelux nations. In 2014, he joined the UniCredit Group as the Head of IT Financial Risk, a pathway that would later lead him to head up Digital Core Banking Transformation and the Commercial Banking Software Factory.
In 2018, he came on board at illimity as the Chief Information Officer to help create a new paradigm bank driven by technological innovation.
Filipe has Master degree in Information Systems Management from Engineering University of Minho.
Guido Lemeire is a senior manager with more than 20 years profound managerial and technical expertise. He has a successful track-record in application development, package selection & implementations, people & change management and service support & delivery. Prior to joining SNCB, Guido served as manager in the telecom and payment sector. In 2017 he joined SNCB as Head of Business and IT Alignment Partnership (BIAP), 7 months later he became CIO.
As CIO of the Belgian railway company, SNCB, Guido is currently leading the digitalization to make the company ready for the future. Being the digital leader of SNCB, he is also CEO of the subsidiary company, Ypto, responsible for the IT infrastructure of the railway company.
As Belgian rail traffic will be liberalized in 2023, Guido has led an extremely challenging, intensive and ambitious project for the past two years. During this period, SNCB started a collaboration with an outsourcing partner (TCS), to make herself completely independent of Infrabel, the Belgian railway infrastructure manager. Parallel to this transition, Guido started an organizational transformation track within his IT company Ypto. Despite these challenges, Ypto still keeps realizing numerous digitalization projects and contributing to the achievement of the main objectives of SNCB.
Vice President of Operations & IT
Krzysztof Dąbrowski gathered a comprehensive IT knowledge while working in various industries. In 1995-2003 he worked for Polska Online and TDC Internet (internet and telecommunications area) where he was in charge of hosting systems and services development. In 2004 – 2011 at F.Hoffman-La Roche he built and managed the Software Development Practice at Roche’s shared services center. From 2011 to 2014 as the CTO of Allegro Group, e-commerce leader in Poland, he supervised one of the largest Agile transformations in the region.
Since 2014 he served as CIO/CTO and managing director at mBank, and since 2017 as Vice President of Operations and IT.
Krzysztof graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology, Electronics and Information Technology Faculty. In 2011 he completed Executive MBA program at the University of Warsaw and the University of Illinois.
As Group CIO, Aidan is an inspirational digital leader with a track record in successfully identifying and agilely delivering new digital capabilities which create and enhance business value – from ensuring consistent and controlled foundational IT services to transformation at scale (e.g. AI, IoT, blockchain), while ensuring cyber security is continuously enhanced across all activities. Experienced in organisational change and management of large multi-level distributed teams across multiple cultures, he has held senior management and technology positions, including twelve years with BP in a range of roles from Chief Network Architect to CIO for the Middle East, and in the past 8 years he has been privileged to spend time in Iran, Oman, Kuwait and the UAE, and cumulatively over a year in Iraq alone.
Born and raised in Cornwall, Aidan enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors, and is an avid beekeeper.

He comes with a proven track record of IT operational and program delivery in applications (retail/ supply chain) as well as infrastructure (oil & gas, insurance) and has also worked in several different roles in the areas of digital transformation and strategic enablement, big data and analytics, mobility, cloud, IT commercials, strategy, transformation, program and vendor management.
